Homemade All Natural Almond Butter

Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings: 1 cup
Course: Breakfast, Dips, Snack
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Raw almonds

Method

  1. Dry roast 2 cups raw almonds on medium-low heat, making sure it doesn't burn. Once done remove from heat and let it cool down.
  2. Transfer the almonds into the mixer jar. (The almonds should be slightly warm at this point) and blend the nuts for 10-20 secs and scrap the sides of the jar as needed. If the blender is getting too hot, remove from the machine and let it cool down slightly.
  3. Eventually, the oils in the almonds will release, so you won't have to add additional oil, which is always a plus point. You can add salt if needed or any sweetener as desired.
  4. The Almond butter is ready, once it is smooth and a bit runny. Transfer it into a glass jar and enjoy as a spread on bread or to make other yummy goodies.

Notes

Some optional ingredients that you can add :
  • If you prefer a runnier version, add 1 or 2 tsp of vegetable oil
  • For sweetened almond butter, add sweetener of choice like maple syrup, honey or powdered sugar.
