Into a pot on medium heat, pour 2 tbsp. oil, followed by chicken, tomato paste and soya sauce. Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook until it's 3/4th done.
Into another pan, on high heat, add the remaining oil, onions and green chili and Sauté with a pinch of salt until translucent and nicely softened.
Add the sautéed onions to the pot with the partially cooked chicken. Check for salt. Cover and cook till the chicken is done.
Boil uncovered for a few minutes until the extra liquid is reduced(for a roast-style chicken). For Semi gravy chicken curry: Add some hot water according to your preference.
Non-Spicy chicken roast is ready to serve. Enjoy with rice or roti.
