Sweet & Spiced Candied Almonds

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Raw almonds
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp Virgin coconut oil/Ghee/Butter
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup/Jaggery syrup/Honey
  • ½ tsp Cayenne pepper if using Chilli powder you may want to reduce the quantity according to taste
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Vanilla essence

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients except the almonds into a sauce pan and bring to boil.
  • Reduce flame to medium low and add the almonds and boil until all the water has evaporated, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the water has evaporated, keep stirring so that it gets candied evenly and doesn't burn the maple syrup.
  • Keep roasting until the almonds starts to clump together. The whole process will take approx. 15 minutes.
  • Spread the almonds onto the sheet and let it cool down completely. (If you have some unabsorbed oil, try to leave it in the pan).
  • Keep in an airtight container for storage. Crunchy Slightly sweet and spiced candied almonds is ready to enjoy as a healthy snack for you and your family. It's perfect for gifting too.
