½tspCayenne pepperif using Chilli powder you may want to reduce the quantity according to taste

Instructions
Add all the ingredients except the almonds into a sauce pan and bring to boil.
Reduce flame to medium low and add the almonds and boil until all the water has evaporated, stirring occasionally.
Once the water has evaporated, keep stirring so that it gets candied evenly and doesn't burn the maple syrup.
Keep roasting until the almonds starts to clump together. The whole process will take approx. 15 minutes.
Spread the almonds onto the sheet and let it cool down completely. (If you have some unabsorbed oil, try to leave it in the pan).
