East African Mandazi

Mandazi are East African donuts. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Usually this tasty snack is eaten with tea (chai) or coffee. So let's prepare Mandazi for this evening.

Mandazi is a childhood favorite of mine which my mother used to lovingly make for me. Hope you will enjoy the recipe and try it out for your family.

* Substitute pineapple, orange, or lemon juice for the milk.
* Add some shredded coconut to the dough.

Food for Soul

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

“In this broken world that is driven by power, pride, and materialism, we often find that these pursuits leave us feeling empty. We can appear successful on the outside and be broken and hopeless inside. But I have come to learn the truth that I was created by a God who is Love and in whom I find my purpose and deepest satisfaction. In Jesus we have hope, the hope of an eternal life spent in an abundance of joy and peace in His Presence. Find Jesus. Find Peace.

God bless you!
